From Paris to Bombay

Sincere apologies for my absence, its been far to long since I wrote a post. I hope to update you with all thats been going on in my next post.

But until then here's something amazing for you to feast your eyes on.

Indian inspired and tweed! My two most favouite fashion trends, Karl its as if you read my mind! x

Chanel's Métiers D'Art collection shows India through Karl Lagerfeld's Germanic Parisian eyes, with bindis, garlands and halls dripping with excess.

And the bride wore McQueen!

A quiet Moment
A fairytale setting...
A princess in the making...
A cheeky smile

I hope you enjoyed the wedding as much as we did.
And my favourite snap is of little 'grumpy grace' who was clearly fed up with all the noise and hassle of being a royal bridesmaid!

{Wedding Inspiration: Alexander McQueen }

Some Friday inspiration!We are totally inspired by the Alexander McQueen collection which was showcased at Paris Fashion Week. Sarah Burton reflected in the collection Alexander McQueen's love of dark and light. We think the white gowns were truly stunning. Adorned with heavy textures, feathers and lace detail. Makes me want to get married again! The burning question is - Will Kate Middleton be wearing a McQueen dress on the 29th of April?
We will just have to wait and see!

{Behind the scenes: Moor Park Mansion shoot}

Moor Park Mansion is one of my favourite wedding venues in the UK, the main reason being - its where hubby and I tied the knot! The wonderful people at Moor Park Mansion were kind enough to allow me to hold my very first shoot there, the images were featured in Asian Bride Magazine Issue No. 29.

Together with a team of very creative women we had an unforgetable time shooting Jasmanique's Opulence collection and we were blown away with the images delivered by Fk Creatives. I plan to dediacte a post especially to this creative Duo. Check out more of their amazing work - FK-Creatives

And here are some behind the scene pictures...

Venue: Moor Park Mansion, Rickmansworth
Photographery & Retouching: Farrah Baig
Hair & Make-Up Artist: Kiran Choudhary
Models Farzana Mostafa & Priyanka Chopra
Stylist: Purdip Mutti

And few of my favourite images from the shoot...

{Wedding Inspiration: UP }

In yesterday's paper I spotted the house from Pixar's 2009 animated hit film Up has been recreated in real life by National Geographic and launched thousands of metres into the air using helium-filled weather balloons!! You can see more here - It prompted me to share some wedding inspiration!

Up by Disney Pixar is still one of my all time favourite films. Since the films release in 2009 I have seen some amazing wedding pictures inspired by Carl & Ellie's Story. If you haven't seen this film yet, you really should. It is sweet, funny and in parts sad, but has a really beautiful message. If you do not want to spoil the surprise stop reading now.
INSPIRATION BOARD: UP - Photo credit: Jasamanique , wedding pictures via Green wedding shoes , Disney Pixar Up

It’s about a couple that met when they were children, both shared a love of adventure and exploring. They later marry and promise to go visit Paradise Falls when they save enough money. Unfortunately, Carls wife dies :( and they don’t get to make the trip. Carl decides to try and make the trip himself by tying thousands of balloons to his house and floating away. And an adventure begins…

I came across the most amazing wedding pictures inspired by the film on one of my favourite blogs, Green wedding shoes. The brides beautiful dress is designed by Windy Chandra and its very similar to the Jasmanique fairytale wedding dress seen in our mood board.

and the cake is just too cute for words!!
More pictures from this wedding can be seen  here. ENJOY!

You can get your very own adventure book and vintage grape soda bottle top badge at etsy!

I would love to hear from you!

{Love: Fifi Lapin}

Is it wrong to have a bunny as fashion inspiration? I LOVE Fifi Lapin - What shall i wear today?

The fabulous little Fifi is definitely nothing new on the fashion scene but just in case you don’t know her, according to her very own blog:

Fifi Lapin is an extremely stylish rabbit.
Fifi was born one of 257 brothers and sisters (you know what they say about rabbits) but sadly there was an outbreak of myxamatosis when she was just a year old and she was the only one to survive. Her parents are therefore incredibly protective and spoil her rotten. As an ‘haress’ to her fathers fortune (which he made playing fast and loose with carrot and lettuce shares on the international stock market) she loves nothing better than spending her time shopping, browsing fashion magazines, shopping and attending the opening of an envelope. People may think she’s just a socialite but behind that sweet smile lies more than just an extremely stylish clotheshorse.

Would'nt it be fabulous to see Fifi Lapin in Jasmanique?

{Inspired by: Homemade London}

I was invited along to a girls crafty night out at the fabulous Homemade london . Homemade London specialises in luxurious and indulgent creative experiences - just my cup of tea!

Classes are small, to ensure that you will get the personal tuition you need to create objects of desire - we all made beautiful valentines card for our husbands! The workshops are social experiences; you can enjoy a glass of wine and a light supper or an afternoon tea as you work - its a great idea for hen parties, baby showers or team building!

It was a real pleasure to meet the owner Nicola Barron. Nicola is a fashion and interior design junkie who moved to Paris at age of 18 to immerse herself in the fashion industry before pursuing a career as a TV producer. After 10 years at the BBC she left in2009 to find a new challenge that would combine her skills and experience with her passion. As a serial evening-class attendee, she always struggled to find classes that taught her to make things she'd actually want to wear or keep. The inspiration for Homemade London came from a desire to learn from the designers she loves.

As well as classes, Homemade London also offer a sewing café – you can rent a sewing machine or overlocker from £10 an hour during the day or evening and work on your own projects. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s worth a visit just to see the beautiful bespoke sewing machine wallpaper! Love it!

Well worth a visit and I cannot wait to do another course! For further details see http://www.homemadelondon.com/
